A Missionaries Diary

Today we worked all day laying bricks for the nursery school. We work every day with a group of Ugandan young men that speak only a few words in English. We’ve gotten to know each other well and they all call me Mama Connie. The African young people all show great respect for older women and I am treated well. The children’s choir from Watoto practices right out in front of where we are building every afternoon. Hey, I even found an African Grey Parrot stuck in a little cage. The children had found it in the bush. I would love to go out and look for one myself but I’m not risking running into any poisonous snakes. I am sorry we haven’t written more each day, but I am so exhausted after working in the sun for 6 hours a day moving bricks that I fall asleep typing. Once again I want to thank you all for the donations that you sent to help us come to Uganda. God is doing great things in this country. This country is raising up Christian leaders that will change the world for Christ. (Connie)

Matt is doing an awesome job videotaping everything that takes place. He has a great rapport with the people here and they all just love him. The little children love him and they call him Uncle Matt. (Connie)
We have met some dear people here from Ireland, London, Kenya, Scotland, and Australia, People from every nation working together to build God’s kingdom. (Connie)

Today was great for me I went to the Watoto office to get clearance to shoot video while on the trip. I met the people that make all these things possible. The team here at the principal Watoto offices is huge. But they still need your help: Please partner with us and in so you can partner with Watoto and save the children of Uganda. (Matt)
